First, the common fault types of micro switches
1. Poor contact
Poor contact is one of the most common failure types of microswitches. If the contact point of the switch is dirty, oxidized or loose, the switch will not open or close properly or fail.
2. Shrapnel deformation
The shrapnel of the microswitch is vulnerable to wear and deformation during long-term use, resulting in switch failure or poor contact.
3. Insufficient operating power
Insufficient operating force means that the operating force of the micro switch does not meet the requirements, resulting in the switch cannot open and close normally. This failure is usually caused by a loose or worn spring.
Second, the solution
1. Clean contact points
In the case of poor contact failure at the contact point of the microswitch, the problem can be solved by cleaning the contact point. Using alcohol or pure water to clean the contact points can effectively remove dirt and oxides and restore the normal operation of the switch.
2. Replace the microswitch
If the shrapnel of the microswitch is deformed or the operating force is insufficient, and it cannot be restored by cleaning the contact point, the microswitch needs to be replaced. When replacing the microswitch, pay attention to the appropriate switch specifications, and carefully operate during disassembly and installation to prevent damage to other electronic components.
3. Install protective measures
In order to prevent the microswitch contact point from being contaminated and oxidized, a protective film can be installed at the switch contact point. This protective film can effectively prevent contamination and oxidation, and greatly extend the service life of the microswitch.
