In order to live a convenient and fast-paced life, we are increasingly using micro switches. Due to the diversity of people's living scenarios, there are also more requirements for the performance of micro switches, such as waterproof micro switches that can be used in humid environments. The working principle of a waterproof micro switch is similar to that of a regular micro switch, both of which operate within a small housing space. However, waterproof micro switches, being used in external environments, require additional higher levels of waterproof performance to prevent malfunctions caused by water infiltration, which imposes certain requirements on the sealing of waterproof micro switches.
In fact, the micro switches and waterproof micro switches we encounter need to undergo waterproof and airtightness tests. The general inspection method is to place the micro switch product in a soft sealing material to achieve a sealed state, and then create an opening in the sealing material and apply vacuum to conduct a waterproof inspection. If the product has good sealing performance, external air cannot enter the bottom, and the negative pressure inside the sealing material will remain stable. Any changes in negative pressure indicate poor sealing performance and inferior waterproofing capability of the product. When choosing a micro switch for applications that require waterproofing, it is important to pay attention to the results of the waterproof inspection and sealing test. A seemingly inconspicuous waterproof micro switch can often affect the use of the entire facility or product, so it is better to be cautious when making the selection.
